Measurements and amount of surfacing can usually be determined once a structure has been selected. All Kidstruction models have corresponding required surfacing information. From these numbers, the amount of ground cover can be determined.
Of course, site issues can sometimes change initial measurements and materials needed. As a rule of thumb, surfacing around a play structure should extend a minimum of 6’ beyond the farthest edges of the structure or components. Surfacing around swings should extend twice the beam height (measured from surface to swing beam) in BOTH directions from the swing beam.
